Countesthorpe is a thriving village, 5 miles south of Leicester, surrounded by farmland and countryside.

There are many shops and services available within the village. See some parts of the village in the images below.

Countesthorpe is a village with about 6,000 residents. They live in ribbon developments along the roads which approach the village and several housing estates, mainly built in the 1960's and 1970's.

In the centre there is a one way system to guide traffic through the old, narrow streets. There are several interesting buildings, some built several hundred years ago.

There is a good community spirit and many voluntary organisations. Although the small towns of Blaby and Wigston are nearby, we have a Post Office, Banking facilites, a health centre and many excellent shops and businesses.

Many builders and other tradesmen work from the village would be pleased to give quotations for work for any work you required on your property.

We an very good Primary school, The Leyslands High School and the Countesthorpe Community College which caters from 14 plus and adults.
